

Born on May 30,1935 in Unadilla, Georgia, Harold was the son of Bright and Florence Hudson. He attended school in Unadilla and graduated from Unadilla High School in 1953. In 1957, he moved to Florida to pursue a career as an electrical apprentice, and in 1957, he enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 22. Upon his honorable discharge from Fort Riley, Kansas. Harold returned to his work as an electrician, a career he enjoyed for 39 years before retiring in 1996.
Harold was a proud and devoted member of the IBEW Union Local 915 for 68 years. Known for his sharp wit and competitive spirit, he embodied the values of hard work and dedication. A true Southern gentleman at heart, Harold loved fishing, gardening and sharing stories of his Georgia roots.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Hazel Spradley (Milton) and Doris Fountain (Carl); his brother John Hudson (Ruth); many beloved nieces and nephews; and his first wife, Ettie Hudson.
Harold is survived by his devoted second wife of 23 years, Carren Hudson; his sister Lucille Corlee (James); and his brother William Leroy Hudson (Virginia) of Georgia. He also leaves behind his stepchildren: Ronald Morgan (Suzi) of Florida, Linda Mathis (James) of Montana, Carol Ruthledge, Howard Al Morgan (Linda) of North Carolina, Julie Spears and Patricia Mitchell of Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and step grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Harold will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and the joy he brought to those lucky enough to know him.
A visitation for Harold will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A celebration of life service will occur Monday, June 23, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A committal service will occur Monday, June 23, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.
