McArthur, H Robert (Bob) 87, of Tampa, entered into rest on July 31, 2015. He was a 4th generation descendant of pioneers of Tampa on his mother’s side. Descendants of the Knights and Deshongs, he graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1946 and received a Bachelor’sDegree from the University of Tampa. He served in the U. S. Army from 1951-1953 and was a Commissioned officer after completing Officers Candidate School. He was also a member of the Tampa Masonic Lodge- Hillsborough No 25, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner. He was pre-deceased by his parents William R McArthur and Emma N Knight. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Ramona, daughter Rebecca (Steve), granddaughter Amanda (Ed), grandson Matthew, son William (Mac), brother William E, and great granddaughter Reese. Visitation will be August 11, 2015 from 6-8pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida on August 12, 2015 at 11:30AM. Donations can be made to Lifepath Hospice.
