James W. Back, Jr. (Jim), 55, of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday 08/07/2016. The funeral service will be held on Monday, 08/15/2016 from 6 pm – 7 pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Jim was born in New Jersey in 1960. He graduated from Robinson High School in Tampa, FL and continued on to receive as AS degree from Hillsborough Community College. Jim was married to Debbie Gaskins in 1979; they were married 37 years. Jim worked as an OIT Tech for Hillsborough Community College for 11 years. He enjoyed NASCAR, The Tampa Bay Rays, The Tampa Bay Bucs and still enjoyed watching the New York Yankees (when they were not playing the Rays!). His passion was helping out any rescue animal that came his way. Jim is survived by his wife Debbie Back, daughter Diana Back, granddaughter Elena Hernandez, mother Darla Back, sister Cheryl Lanier, his 2 nieces Ashley and Casey Kiser, father in law Rufus Gaskins, mother in law, Shellia Gaskins and other family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his father, James W. Back, Sr. and his brother Christopher Back.
