"Uncle James", as he was affectionately known by many, was loved by all who knew him. He had a generous spirit and was everyone's favorite uncle. James owned and operated the South Riding grocery store in Land O’ Lakes, Florida, which was originally owned by his parents.
James was an active church member of Lutz Community Church as long as he was physically able. He was passionate about his family, helping others, his $2 scratch off lottery tickets and, of course, Entenmann's donuts.
James is survived by brother Thomas Sakezles, sister Olimbeia Cassar, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, his church family, and his adopted family at Aston Gardens that took such loving care of him during his final years.
An hour Visitation for James will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610. A Private Committal Service will occur at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 U. S. Hwy 301 N, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
His request was "In lieu of flowers, take someone out to lunch".
