

Born on December 5, 1938 in Woodbury, N.J., she was the daughter of the late J. Haines and Amalie (Susko) Joyce.
She once owned Joyce’s Dry Goods in Sneads, Florida, a female entrepreneur before her time. She would move to St. Petersburg, Florida where she went back to school to earn her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) degree and spend the next 20 years providing great care to her patients.
She enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts projects and talking to her many friends, sometimes spending hours on the telephone to catch up with them. She enjoyed time with her family and especially time spent with her granddaughters (4).
She is predeceased by her brother, Jerry H. Joyce.
She is survived by her sons; Daniel M. Hoffman(Sonya) of Mechanicsville, VA and Dale M. Hoffman(Darla) of Odessa, FL; granddaughters, Tara(Brandon) Sharp of Waynesboro, VA, Megan Hoffman of Mechanicsville, VA, and twins Emma and Lily Hoffman of Odessa; great grandsons Jed and Joel Sharp.
Respecting Janice’s wishes, there will be no visitation and services will be held at a later time with her family.
