She was born in Hastings, Michigan. The first child of Lilburn “Ty” and Maxine (VanBuren) France.
Jean grew up in Woodland, Michigan, where she graduated from Woodland High School in 1955. Several years later, she moved to Florida, where she met her future husband and business partner, Raymond Deneys.
Jean loved her family. She had a very giving heart, always helping others, a born caregiver. She was a good listener, a common-sense thinker who was devoted to her husband and business, where she will be missed by many at the park where she traveled daily. She was very humble and a lover of Florida. She was into fashion, sparkle, and glamour. She loved cheering on the Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers football teams. She also loved watching The Voice and American Idle, always amazed at the undiscovered musical talent, she picked the winner many times.
Jean had a love for keeping things very tidy and clean; she spent some of her days in the sun sweeping the driveway of their home.
Her love of celebrities became a remarkable hobby that she pursued for decades. Jean requested autographs and pictures from famous people worldwide and received a phenomenal response.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Raymond, and sisters Phyllis Wilcox and Joyce Smith. Brothers Robert and Kay France, Rick and Charlotte France, Don France, and Ron and Peggy France. Brothers-in-law James Deneys, Leland, and Mary Deneys. Stepdaughter Cathy Deneys, along with many nieces and nephews.
