With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jeremiah Chilton Stewart, a man whose life was defined by unwavering love, remarkable kindness, and a heart that was always open to others. Jeremiah passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 36.
Jeremiah proudly served his country as a dedicated Soldier and later continued his service to his community as a Deputy for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. While he wore both uniforms with honor and courage, those who truly knew Jeremiah will remember him most for his patience, compassion, and genuine care for the people around him. He lived his life with quiet strength, humility, and an unshakable sense of duty—to his country, his community, and most of all, his family.
Above all else, Jeremiah was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Toni, with whom he shared 11 beautiful years of marriage. To Toni, he was far more than a husband—he was her best friend, her greatest supporter, and the love of her life. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, loyalty, and deep love.
Jeremiah was the proud father of two daughters, Liliana and Emilee, who were the light of his life. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in being their protector, guide, and biggest fan.
Jeremiah will be remembered as the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. His generosity, warm smile, and easygoing spirit made everyone feel welcome in his presence. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed shooting sports, fishing, and gathering with family and friends around the barbecue—moments filled with laughter that will now be treasured memories.
Jeremiah leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and patriotism. He is survived by his beloved wife, Toni; his daughters, Liliana and Emilee; his parents, Curtis Stewart Jr. and Mary Horton; and his siblings, Adam Stewart, Atlanta Stewart, Kodi Stewart, and Austin Stewart. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Stewart, whom he loved dearly.
Though his time with us was far too short, Jeremiah’s impact on the lives of those who knew him will never fade. His strength, kindness, and devotion to family and country will forever be remembered.
A Celebration of Life honoring Jeremiah will be held on March 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Ruskin. The family will receive friends starting at 4:00 pm.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
