
Johnny Hansel Peacock, Sr. 87 was called home to be with our Heavenly Father Friday November 13th. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Johnny a native Floridian, was born July 10, 1928 in Trenton Florida, the Peacock family lived in Wilcox then relocated to Tampa when he was still a young man. Tampa is where Johnny put down roots and lead a rich full life. He loved the outdoors, was an avid bowler, golfer and local sports fan.
Johnny Peacock was the the gas man; working for several local propane companies over the years. He was well known and loved in the community for being a good man; who was kind and generous. Johnny also had a strong faith, he was brimming with life and light. Always happy, smiling and laughing. He will be forever remembered in the hearts of family and friends for his sharp mind, quick wit, and a lifetime of stories. To know him was to love him.
The oldest of 10 children; he was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Bertie Peacock; 2 brothers, Carl Peacock and James Earl Peacock. Daughter-in-law Martha "Marty" Peacock and Great Granddaughter Riley Peacock.He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Alberta Peacock; 7 sisters Doris Scott, Juanita Meredith, Gennie Amick, Marion (Robert) Gulic, Patricia "Pat" (Lee) Johnson, Cheryl Mendez, Hazel (Bill) Kanipe; a son Johnny Peacock, Jr., his daughters; Sherrie (Bern) Rudisill, Linda Cox (Johnny Collier), Cindy (Wesley) McMillan and Step-daughter Patricia "Patty" Whittleton; 11 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; & Countless Adoring Nieces and Nephews. Johnny’s radiance will shine from heaven and he will live on in our hearts and through our fellowship.Join us for a celebration of his life. Services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday November 19th at Garden of Memories 4207 E Lake Ave., Tampa, FL with visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
