Josephine C. Miller

MILLER, Josephine C, 94, a Tampa native passed away November 17, 2018. She was a mortgage loan officer by profession but she enjoyed her 30+ years of retirement with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her strong Italian heritage contributed to her devoted faith and love of her family. She was a talented gardener, sharing her bounty with all, and an accomplished seamstress, creating beautiful clothes for her children and wonderful Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. She was an amazing cook known for her pies and giuggiulena cookies. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her mother & father, four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her children; David Miller (Kathryn), Lisa Alvarez (Ron), and Gina Garcia (Louis), six grandchildren; Louie Garcia (Christina), Crissy Garcia, Stephen Alvarez (Heather), Meghan Mazzant (Tyler), Katelyn Miller, Cherie Davis (Adam), seven great grandchildren; Lucca Garcia, Corey-Jo Covington, Katie Alvarez, Tyler James Mazzant, Juliette Mazzant, Raegan Davis, Kelsi Davis, extended family and friends. A visitation will be held at 10 am with a funeral service beginning at 11 am, Monday November 26, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, Tampa. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pall bearers will be; sons-in-law; Ron Alvarez and Louis Garcia, Jr, grandsons; Stephen Alvarez and Louis Garcia, III, nephews; Joseph Vaglica and Richard Fernandez.
