

Karen Denise Battle, age 62, of Tampa, Florida went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 16, 2025 after a brief but courageous fight with cancer. She was born in Panama City, Florida on October 17, 1962. She graduated from Bay High School in Panama City and received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Tampa College. She had a successful career in Human Resources. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed going to the beach, flying her kites at the beach, motorcycle rides, crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Speer and mother Linda Speer Loughran.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years Michael Battle, children Isaac Redman, Matthew Redman, Aaron Redman (Jessica) and Jeremy Redman, sisters Tonya Speer Caldwell and Debi Speer Pandorf (Brian), brother Mike (Sherrie), grandchildren Angel and Logan and many nephews, nieces and many friends and extended family.
She touched so many lives and will never be forgotten and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service to honor Karen will take place at 3pm on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Blount and Curry Carrollwood located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. The family will begin to receive friends starting at 2pm.
Following the service at the funeral home, there will be a short graveside service at Lake Carroll Cemetery located at Myers Lane and N Armenia Ave in Tampa.
