

Katherine was born in Minneapolis, MN to Robert and Marjorie Johnson on February 17, 1945. She graduated from New York University and then later graduated from Goddard College with a Master’s Degree in Expressive Arts. She worked as a lodging coordinator for the bone marrow transplant program and led the open arts studio for families of patients in that program at Moffitt Cancer Center for many years. She enjoyed painting, being in nature, taking care of her grandchildren and helping others.
Katherine is survived by her daughter Sarah Plumb Wilson and her husband Matthew L. Wilson, her son Andrew Neely Plumb and his wife Mette Aamodt, her sister and husband the Reverend John and Patricia Richter, her sister Marion Bonnema, her four adoring grandchildren and her many loving nieces and nephews and their families.
Services will be held at 10:30am on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Blount and Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood located at 3207 W Bearss Ave. The family will receive friends starting at 10am. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family of Katherine wish to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and Occupational and Physical Therapists at Concordia Village of Tampa and the nurses and doctors at Advent Health Tampa Neurosurgery and Neuro Intensive Care for their expertise and care.
