Ken was a beloved father, husband, grandpa, and friend. Known for his infectious humor and larger-than-life personality, Dad brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
Born on May 24, 1957 in the Bronx, NY. Ken grew up in the Bronx, then moved to Long Beach where he had a passion for swimming and being at the beach. He loved sharing stories of his time lifeguarding. He was a lifelong Giants fan. He met his beloved wife, Susan, at Farmingdale College, and together they built a beautiful life. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to New Jersey to raise their children, creating a warm and loving home filled with laughter. Ken never missed a chance to attend an important event in one of his children’s lives. In their later years, they relocated to Florida to be closer to their grandchildren, where they enjoyed precious moments together.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Sue, his son Timothy, as well as his mother, Arline, stepfather Barney, and sister, Dorothy. Their love and guidance shaped his life, and he often shared fond stories about them, keeping their spirits alive in our hearts.
He is survived by his children. His oldest daughter Kristina and son-in-law Patrick Crowder, his son Daniel, and wife Marina Watts, his youngest daughter Noelle, and husband Steve Narad and his grandchildren who referred to him as Poppy: Addison, Alivia, and Cole Crowder, Lucas and Owen Narad, Parker and Reece Watts. As well as his older sister, Joellen Kennedy, and younger siblings Julie Halfon, Tere Watts, and Brian Carbin. We will miss his laughter and warmth dearly.
His legacy of humor and love will continue to inspire us every day.
A memorial service will be held on October 11th at St Paul’s Church at 2:00. We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating his incredible life and the joy he brought to so many.
Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on in our hearts and the countless memories we share.
Family Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone;
For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again.
