Mrs. Laura E. Spivey

Laura was born September 26, 1938, to Frances and Wynette in Cedartown, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her Husbands Roy Mays and William Spivey; Her Son Michael Mays and granddaughter Megan Mays. She has three siblings Melanie Boone (Eddie), Frank Leverette and Lincy Viator (Roy). Laura has three remaining sons Douglas (Paula), Brian, Gary (Jonie) Mays. She also leaves behind 7 grandchild – Lauren Buffetta (Jeff), Douglas Mays (Randee), Mandy Hatfield (Dustin), Scott Mays, David Mays, Kayla Mays, Kelsi Mays and 6 great grandchildren- Mazie and Dax Buffetta, Lacey and Brendan Nolan, Marlee Mays, Warren (Teddy) Mays.

Laura Ellen greatly enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in everything they participated in, shopping, reading a good book, cooking, watching the Rays and crafts of all sorts. She was a God-fearing woman who volunteered at her church for some time. Laura was funny, witty and full of love. She will be forever missed by her loved ones.

A visitation for Laura will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home @ Garden of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A funeral service will occur Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A committal will occur Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Tampa, FL 33610.
