

Marjorie is the last surviving of eight children of Germain and Carline Petion. She was married for fifty six years to James O. Walters (deceased).
Marge lived in the closed community of Sulphur Spring, Tampa .It was happy in spite of the hardships of the depression and World War 2. Marge graduated from Hillsborough high and later on continued her education at the University of Tampa, and U. S. F. Her career in education included being a Teacher, a curriculum specialist, and an Assistant Principal. After retiring, she tutored in local schools. Other volunteer work included teaching Sunday school, and securing missionary workers. Highlights of those included collaboration with siblings to produce family history book, travel, and classes in porcelain – doll making, china painting, and writing. Marge would like to be remembered as a positive person who appreciated all of Gods blessings.
She was preceded in death by her brothers (deceased) Maurice, James, and Verne Petion and her sisters (deceased) Pauline Davis, Helen Brazelton, Dorothy Cheatham, and Jean Smith.
She is survived by her four sons Dr. Terry Walters PHD, Linda, Randall Walters, Linda, Dale Walters, Peggy, and Richard Walters, Marcia Newberger Walters. Grand children Mark (Jessica), Matthew Walters, Lucia (Matt), and Francisca. Marge she was also blessed with ten great grandchildren Brenden, Sophia, Knox, Gabriella, Oliver, Hunter, Kinsey, Nikolas, Henry, and Danielle.
A visitation will be held at Blount and Curry Funeral home located on 3207 West Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618 starting at 11am followed by a service at 12pm. The family will be having a graveside service at Garden of Memories located on 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610 starting at 2pm.
