Tampa native, Mercy (Mary) Castro , 85, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emilio Gonzalez and Herminda (Ma) Lazo, and her grandson, Robert Patrinostro. She is survived by her loving husband, Hector Castro, her three children Griselda Cuesta, Pete Cuesta (Jenny), and JR Salas (Lisa), Hector’s three children, Deborah Martinez (Daniel), Vicki Ciucio (Andrew), and Rodney Castro (Melissa), their 12 grandchildren, Jason (Melissa), MariaElena (Eddie), Kevin (Megan), Andrea (Eric), Aaron, Mario Jr, Justin (Bella), Lathen, Alexis (Kirk), Gabryel (Shane), Tyler, and Kyle, and their 11 great grandchildren, Jason Jr., Adrian, Marissa, Dylan, Evan, Madeline, Giovanni, Amelia, Logan, Kolby, and Emily. Mercy had a huge heart and will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
