

She was born in Ft Pierce and raised mostly in Tampa. She graduated from Academy of Holy Names in 1946 at the age of 16 and went on to attend the St. Louis Institute of Music on a piano scholarship. She paused her education while raising her young children but went on to complete her BS in Elementary Education from University of Tampa in 1963 and her Master’s in 1979. She spent 35 years teaching at Alexander Elementary before retiring and traveling with her beloved husband George Skok.
Mary was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was active in the choir, Altar Guild, St. Vincent de Paul and CCD instruction. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the 3’rd order (OFS) of St. Francis and served with Trinity Cafe.
She is survived by her children Christine Craft (Newman), Michael Craft, Teresa Craft (Jung), Antoinette Craft (Smith) and Rebecca Reeves (Thomas), 10 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618, US, on March 3, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618, US, on March 4, 2026, from 2:00 pm.
