Merle was a devoted wife and mother, member of First Baptist Church of Durant.
She was predeceased by husband; two brothers; son, Randall Keith Baxley; daughter, Brenda Palmer. Merle is survived by her children; Sharron Baxley, Kenny Baxley, Janet Baxley, sisters; Betty Jo Barker, Evelyn Wells; numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
