Minnie Lou McBride

McBride, Minnie Lou, 93, of Tampa, FL - It is with great sadness the family announces her passing on Friday, February 21, 2025. Minnie Lou (Minnie) was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Delton (DC) McBride and will be lovingly remembered by their three children Teresa McBride, Valeria (Richard) Terry, and Ken (Cathy) McBride; two grandchildren, Melissa Davis and Stacy (Sean) Martin; and six great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Shannon, Kendyl, Kyler, Allison and Kellen. Originally from Emanuel County, GA, Minnie was the oldest of four siblings leaving behind Vivian York (Raleigh, NC) and James Canady (Twin City, GA), preceded in death by her sister, Rhae Joan Davis.

Minnie and Delton moved to Tampa, FL in 1963 from Vidalia, GA and were proud business owners of McBride Autos for many years until their retirement. Minnie had a full life and spent her years enjoying family trips, bowling, playing cards and sharing stories. She was a devout Baptist and attended Lake Carroll Baptist Church for many years. Minnie will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home

Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa where the family will start receiving guests at

12:00 pm followed by the service at 1:00 pm. A reception will be held at the funeral home

immediately following.

A private graveside service will take place at Lake Carroll Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
