Norma Jean Chatfield, 87, died in her sleep Tuesday, September 7, 2010 after a long illness, September 7, 2010. She was born on March 27, 1923 in Shelbyville, TN and had been a resident of Grand Court Assisted living facility for the past six years. Mrs. Chatfield lived in Hendersonville, NC with her husband Gene and was also a long time resident of St. Petersburg, Fl. She leaves behind a daughter, Ruth Chatfield, 3 grand-daughters, a sister Cheryl Short and brother Bill Bryant. A graveside service is planned for the family at Florida National Cemetery where she will be buried with her beloved husband Gene Chatfield.
