Norman C. Batty Jr., 85, of Utica, NY passed away April 30, 2015 in Tampa, Fl. Norman was born in Utica, New York and attended Proctor High School. He attended 2 years at Alfred University and completed his bachelors degree at Utica College in Management, taking his first job at Revere Ware. He left this to proudly become a certified life underwriter for Prudential Insurance, following in the footsteps of his father, Norman Sr. He was awarded the Prudential Presidents Citation and Academy of Honor. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Utica, New York, where he served on the buildings and grounds committee for many years. Norman enjoyed singing in the church choir in the Christmas Service. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict for 2 years. His hobbies included working on cars, traveling in his motor home and skiing. He is survived by his wife Jane G. Batty; daughter, Deborah B. Beiser; and son Michael L. Batty; and grandchildren Allison Beiser and Amanda Bohach. Services to be held at a later date at First Presbyterian Church.
