Dr. Patricia S. Freeman died peacefully Friday, May 17, 2024 at her home in Tampa, FL. She was born March 16, 1938 in Jasper, Florida, raised in Tampa, and graduated from Hillsborough High School. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Shelton Stanaland and Clara May (Spanton) Stanaland, and her husband, Aaron Freeman. Patricia got her doctorate in Nutrition from the University of Miami and taught nutrition classes at University of Miami, Rhone State Community College and Tennessee Tech.
She resided half the year in Tampa where she was a member of OWLS, and half in Crossville, Tn. where she was a member of Art Circle Public Library, FCE and Winesap Freewill Baptist Church.
She enjoyed organic gardening, classical music and fellowship with friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Kimball and many loved ones and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3pm on Friday, May 24 in the Magnolia room of Blount and Curry Funeral Home located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. The family will begin receiving friends at 2pm prior to the celebration of life.
