Patricia Ann Ray, age 82, stepped from earth into the arms of her Savior on October 7, 2025. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family and listening to her beloved hymns, entering Heaven just as she had lived—faithful, joyful, and full of grace.
Patricia was the devoted wife of 59 years to Woody Ray, and the cherished mother of Cheryl (Philip), Janith (Ross), and Allen (Denise). She was a proud grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of seven, each of whom brought her immense joy.
A lifelong Christian, Patricia lived her faith daily through her selfless love and care for others. She had a true gift of hospitality, and her home was always open, and her kitchen was a gathering place for family and friends. Many will fondly remember her baking and the warmth that surrounded every visit. Her kindness, generosity, and devotion to God touched countless lives.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Idlewild Baptist Church.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Savior and that her faith has become sight.
