Patrick Norausky of Tampa, FL, passed away in August 2025. Born December 1938, in East St. Louis, IL, to Patrick H. Norausky Sr. and Ellen (Martin) Norausky. Patrick spent his childhood searching alleyways for discarded items to rebuild into creative, usually mechanical, inventions. His early fascination with mechanics and a dedication to lifelong learning shaped his future.
Patrick earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla. He continued his studies by obtaining both a master’s in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of Iowa. Patrick’s curiosity and desire to share knowledge encouraged others to address challenges with determination.
Patrick’s mechanical ability led to successful careers in government, major manufacturing companies, and his own consulting business. His professional roles allowed him to travel internationally, including to spend time in Great Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Norway, Russia, Japan, and Singapore.
For the last two decades Patrick made his home in Tampa, Florida where he was known in his neighborhood as a helpful, talkative presence, always ready to lend a tool or hand.
Patrick raised five children. A devoted husband to Christine (Jeno), he felt fortunate to spend his later years living near his son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 35 years, children, daughter in-law, two grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, sister and brother in-laws and extended family members across the globe. Patrick joins his brothers Gary and Tom, watching over surviving brother Jim.
