Pauline B. Crumpton

Born November 21, 1935, in St. Petersburg, Fl, has passed away on December 26, 2025.Her family moved to Tampa where she grew up in the Wellswood Area of Seminole Heights, attending elementary, junior high schools. Graduating from Hillsborough High in 1953. Then attending the University of Tampa, graduating in 1957 and immediately starting her 39-year career with the Hillsborough County School District, retiring as Principal of Greco Jr High School in Temple Terrace in January 1996. During her career she taught at Mendenhall Elementary, Hillsborough High, Plant High, Jefferson High, Chamberlain High, Mann Jr. High in Brandon, Summer classes at the University of Florida, and evening classes at MacDill Air Base.

Pauline was very active with many social & civic organizations including Tampa GEM Sertoma, University of Tampa Board of Trustees, The Children’s Home of Tampa, The Chesler’s Fund Raising Club for the University of Tampa, and the Ladies of the Crown Social Club. Also, organist/pianist for Lake Carroll Baptist Church for 40 years.

She is survived by her brother James C. Bransford, Stepson Gregory T. Crumpton, Stepdaughter Debbie Aguirre, 5 step-grandchildren,11 step-great grandchildren plus other nieces and cousins, plus Casey, her Bichon.

Services will be held at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, 709 W. Linebaugh Ave, Tampa, Fl. 33612 on January 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hills Memorial Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations to the charity of your choice in her honor/memory will be appreciated.
