December 1, 1932 – April 26, 2022
Following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, Pearl Lillian Burgess Thayer, passed away on April 26, 2022.
Born in Williamston, South Carolina, she was the daughter of C.L. Burgess and Tecora Chapman Burgess. She moved to Florida in the mid 1950s and retired from Lucky Stores (formerly Kash and Karry) as the Manager of the Data Entry Department.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandi Conway of Temple Terrace (Michael), grandson Eric Conway of Palm Harbor (Susan), and great grandchildren Ethan and Elizabeth Conway of Palm Harbor; sisters Shirley Cooper (Danny) of Pelzer, South Carolina and Shelby Tant of Belton, South Carolina; brothers Vernon Burgess of Piedmont, South Carolina and Silas Burgess of Williamston, South Carolina as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Roger Thayer; sisters Audrey Copeland, Edna Redus, and Faye Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
