Peggy Morse, 79, of Lutz, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Laurens, Iowa, Peggy lived a life full of joy, love, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.
A proud Iowa native, Peggy was crowned Homecoming Queen and was a standout on her high school basketball team — a reflection of her spirited nature, grace, and competitive heart. Throughout her life, she remained a strong and steady presence, always leading with kindness, wisdom, and humor.
Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy came from her family, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally. She is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Morse; her cherished children: Skip Johnson (wife Robin), Steve Johnson (wife Lauren), Nicole Burris (husband Jamie), and stepdaughter Kristen Morse; and her dear brother, Chuck Cooper.
She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Lily Johnson, Madison Green, Olivia Johnson, Fender Walters, Cooper Johnson, and Parker Johnson — each of whom brought her immeasurable happiness and pride.
Peggy now joins her beloved parents, Jack and Marney Cooper, and sister, Jackie Evett, in heaven. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with those who went before her.
Those who knew Peggy will remember her as an incredible woman — full of warmth, strength, and laughter. Her love lives on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will be forever treasured.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life. However, they warmly invite you to attend a public visitation on Monday, October 6th, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM EST, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home – Carrollwood Chapel, located at 3207 West Bearss Avenue, Tampa, FL 33518.
