Peter was born in New York City to Patrick and Lorraine Murray. He graduated from Power Memorial High School and Iona College, where he was a standout student and athlete. While attending college, he worked at a home for abused and neglected children, where he met his beloved wife, Judy Carosella, a fellow counselor. They married in 1967 in Niagara Falls and were together over 55 years. Peter was a U.S. Army veteran and served honorably in Vietnam. During a long and varied career, he was an adjunct professor of English at the University of South Florida while studying for his PhD. Later he started his own computer consulting business before joining Judy in running Judy’s Permit Service, a construction permit service. He was the proud and greatly loved father of daughter Dana Murray.
Peter is survived by daughter Dana, sisters Eileen Murray and Frances Gibbons, brothers-in-law John and Chris Carosella, sisters-in-law Eileen Murray, Julie Carosella and Michele Carosella, brother-in-law Joseph Aguilar, niece Katelyn Carosella and nephew Matthew Carosella.
