Rebeca Dominguez

Born on December 24th of 1959, in the city of El Progreso Yoro, Honduras. She was preceded in death by her mother Ana Lara and survived by her father Fausto Dominguez, siblings, and daughters. She was the second of eight siblings: Ana, Chely, Rigo, Fausto, Lesly, Edgardo y Mario. Mother of three precious daughters: Gabriela, Andrea and Jennifer; and grandmother to eight grandchildren: Daniel, Ian, Nathan, Adrian, Amelia, Nataly, Naomi and Josiah. Rebeca graduated primary school from Jose Trinidad Cabañas and graduated Notre Dame high school. She attended the University El CURLA and received a Bachelor’s in Agronomy Engineering in 1985. Rebeca continued her education when she received a scholarship to pursue her graduate studies. She attended the University of Reading in England and attained a Master of Science in Soil Science ( Management of Soil Fertility) in 1993. Upon graduation, she returned to Honduras and worked as the head of the chemical laboratory for The Honduras Foundation for Agricultural Research. In 1998, Rebeca along with her daughters moved to Tampa, FL. In 1999 she began working for Speedling as a grower and then as the national buyer for the seed department; she worked in Speedling ever since. Rebeca was an extraordinary human being, with great principles. She was a strong woman with a gift of sincerity and humbleness. She LOVED the Lord and devoted her life in serving our Lord Jesus Christ. A woman of faith, who made sure she preached the Word of God to all her loved ones. She was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. You will always be in our hearts and we will miss you forever.

Nació el 24 de diciembre de 1959, en la ciudad de El Progreso Yoro, Honduras. Le precedió en la muerte su madre Ana Lara y le sobrevivieron su padre Fausto Domínguez, hermanos e hijas. Fue la segunda de ocho hermanos: Ana, Chely, Rigo, Fausto, Lesly, Edgardo y Mario. Madre de tres preciosas hijas: Gabriela, Andrea y Jennifer; y abuela de ocho nietos: Daniel, Ian, Nathan, Adrian, Amelia, Nataly, Naomi y Josiah. Rebeca se graduó de la escuela primaria en José Trinidad Cabañas y se graduó de la escuela secundaria de Notre Dame. Asistió a la Universidad El CURLA y recibió una Licenciatura en Ingeniería Agronómica en 1985. Rebeca continuó su educación cuando recibió una beca para realizar sus estudios de posgrado. Asistió a la Universidad de Reading en Inglaterra y obtuvo una Maestría en Ciencias del Suelo (Manejo de la Fertilidad del Suelo) en 1993. Luego de graduarse, regresó a Honduras y trabajó como jefa del laboratorio químico de la Fundación Honduras para la Investigación Agrícola. En 1998, Rebeca y sus hijas se mudaron a Tampa, FL. En 1999 comenzó a trabajar para Speedling como productora y luego como compradora nacional para el departamento de semillas; trabajó en Speedling desde entonces. Rebeca fue un ser humano extraordinario, con grandes principios. Era una mujer fuerte con el don de la sinceridad y la humildad. AMO al Señor y dedicó su vida al servicio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Una mujer de fe, que se aseguró de predicar la Palabra de Dios a todos sus seres queridos. Era hija, hermana, madre, tía, abuela y amiga. Siempre estarás en nuestros corazones y te extrañaremos por siempre.
