Rene “Michel” Olivera-Rodriguez, 54, unexpectedly died August 14, 2021. He was a loving and devoted husband and “Papi”. He had a career as a truck driver and was currently employed by Soroa Freight in Tampa. Michel enjoyed baseball, fishing and then eating the fish that he had caught, but his favorite pastime of all was dancing with his wife.
Michel is survived by wife, Gittssa, children; Yari Moment , Michel Olivera, Yadiel Olivera, Lereyka Cedeno, Tawana Billups, Norman Billups, Andres Fernandez, brother Julio Olivera , 4 sisters, grandchildren; Kenya Brown, Kevin Pelicie, Carla Moment, Khari Moment, and Jazmine LaGrotta, extended family and friends too numerous to count.
Family will receive friends from 1 pm -2 pm Thursday, August 26, 2021 with a funeral service at 2pm, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa.
