Robert “Bob” Joseph Fink, 65, of Lutz, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born in Redbank, NJ, on July 18, 1959, the middle child of five siblings.
Bob moved to Florida in 1969, and went on to attend King Senior High School in Tampa, FL. He worked at Honeywell in Tampa, then spent most of his career as a maintainer at Ball Metal in Tampa, from which he retired in 2017.
Bob will be missed dearly by his family, he was grateful to live close to his sons and their families and spent many days alongside his wife, Theresa, supporting his grandchildren at colorguard, swim, dance, t-ball, gymnastics and school productions. He loved having his family together, especially when he had the opportunity to make his legendary stuffed peppers, meatball subs or bacon-wrapped turkey.
Bob was an avid New York Mets baseball fan. He often traveled to Port St. Lucie with Theresa to watch their spring training games, and watched them on television every chance he got. Baseball was a big part of his life, he played in his younger years and most recently in a 55+ baseball league. He also coached his son’s and grandson’s Little League teams.
Bob loved to fish and golf. One of his retirement purchases was a fishing boat he enjoyed taking out on Lake Padgett, but was just as happy casting a line from the dock or a charter boat, especially with his sons and grandchildren. In retirement, he also planned weekly golf outings with good friends and loved to try new courses.
Bob Fink is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Theresa; his sons, Robert (Ashley) and Alexander (Ashton); his granddaughters, Keely, Chloe and Lily; his grandsons, Liam and Wyatt; his sisters, Diane (Hal) and Jacqueline; and many other extended family members and friends who will carry his memory forward with love. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Joan; his father, Robert; his sister, Linda and his brother, Warren.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11am at Blount & Curry in Carrollwood.
The family will receive friends one hour prior starting at 10am.
After the service, the Fink family welcomes you to join them for a reception before making their way to Garden of Memories for a graveside service at 2pm.
