Ronald "Ron" L. Hawkins

Hawkins, Ronald “Ron” L, 67, of Tampa, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sept 25, 2015. A native of Tampa, Ron graduated from Brandon High School and from the University of Florida. He was a member of the National Guard proudly serving his country. Ron grew up working in the family business, Airdrome Tires, and was the controller at Famous Tate for the past 18 years. Ron was a faithful and devoted member of Idlewild Baptist Church and previously served in the church youth group at Hillsdale Baptist for over 20 years. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Solomon Hawkins; brother, Keith Hawkins and son-in-law, Mike Kutz. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nancy; mother, Geraldine Hawkins; daughters, Tiffany Kutz, Heidi Stenberg (Andrew), Lindsay Holloman(David);sister, Kathy Albritton(Adrien); Brother in law David (Heidi) Mattioli, Paul (Charlotte) Jeske; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Brett, Lauren, Luke, Madeline, Hadley, Conner, Parker, Kate and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 5-8pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home- Carrollwood Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10am on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Idlewild Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow the service at Lake Carroll Cemetery.
