Sarah Brock Caicedo

Sarah Brock Caicedo, age 75, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Sarah was born October 1, 1946 in - Harlan County, Kentucky where she graduated from Evarts High School, Kentucky. One of God's own treasures was called back to heaven at 11:02AM on 11/4/2021, on loan to us mortals for a mere 75 years. Sarah was born and raised in Kentucky. As a Cole Miner's daughter, she wanted a life different than what Appalachia had to offer. After many stints in America's South-West, she eventually settled in Michigan where she lived and worked for several decades. In her golden years, she would snow bird in, and eventually move to, Florida with her former, loving husband of thirty years, Edward Bartlett. As a surviving widow, Sarah re-opened her heart and fell madly in love with the endless charm and beautiful soul of David Caicedo, a premiere musician and kindred spirit. David remained a faithful partner who profoundly loved and deeply cared for Sarah until her untimely departure from this world. A self described Goofy Gal, Sarah was beautiful inside and out, often brightening the mood with a very extensive catalog of turns-of-phrase such as "Gaint" (hungry), "Grunts" (food), "Drown Some Worms" (fishing), "Pig in a Poke" (bad acquisition), "Puddle Jumper" (small car) and "Mouth Overloaded My Hind-End" (to have spoken regretfully) to name but a few that are appropriate for a wider audience. When she wasn't commanding the slots on nearly every casino trip, she deeply loved sitting on the beach and watching the sunset. While luxuriating in time together with family & friends, Sarah loved to laugh; her infectious smile and unmatched sense of humor made for the best of company. Sarah adored little dogs and throughout the years she had many canine companions by her side. She will be missed dearly by any, and all, that were lucky enough to have made her angelic acquaintance.

Relatives that have preceded Sarah in death are her parents, Grace Hubbard Brock and Leonard Brock; sisters, Fanny Lou Brock, Lucy Hall, Ruby Brock, Jewel Zawaideh, and Mary Sue Brock; brothers, Carl Brock and Leslie Brock; loving canine companions, Puffy, PJ, Peanut, Rosie, and Puff.

Sarah is survived by her loving husband, David Caicedo; Sons, Mathew Karakas (Melanie Martin) and Michael Eng (Teresa Eng), David Eng; Granddaughter, Lilly Eng; and Brother, Dan Brock.
