

Sharon Rivera, age 67, passed away on September 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in New Jersey and resided in Tampa, FL. Sharon was a valued Walgreens employee for over 15 years until her retirement.
Sharon was known for her kindness, warmth and generosity. She had a remarkable ability to light up a room with her laughter and always put others before herself.
A devoted wife, sister and aunt, Sharon was the light of the family. She cherished time spent with her loved ones and was always there with open arms and caring spirit. Her wisdom and guidance shaped the lives of those around her, and her loving presence will be missed.
Sharon had a passion for nature, animals, dancing, music, and crafts, and those who knew her will always remember the joy she found having everyone together in one place. She enjoyed holidays and special occasions with family and friends. Her legacy is one of love, strength and enduring faith in the goodness of life.
She is predeceased by her parents John and Marie McClure; husband, Jose Rivera; sister, Loretta Lightfritz; and great-niece Lalani Sheridan. She is survived by her loving sisters, Margaret and her husband Anthony Winters; Anna Kopycienski; 4 loving nieces and nephews. Raymond Sheridan and wives Tasha/Jasmine, Jason Kopycienski, John Winters and Nicole Winters; 6 great-nephews; and 2 great-great nephews. Sharon was also blessed to have many cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make a Wish Foundation to honor Sharon's great-niece Lalani Sheridan.
Arrangements are being handled by Blount and Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood. A small family gathering at a later date will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
