

Stephen Carey Sullivan of Tampa, FL passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 22 at the age of 46. Stephen had a deep faith in Jesus Christ that sustained him and his family during his battle with cancer. Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Stephanie. They were married in Irving, Texas on October 5, 1991. Stephen is lovingly remembered by his wife Stephanie, sons Wm. Collin (1994) and Ryan Christopher (1997), his parents Melvin and Judy Sullivan and sister Sharon Sheppard of Franklin, NY, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was born in Caribou, Maine on August 8, 1968. He grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts. He earned his B.A. in Business from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and his Juris Doctor from Regent University in Virginia. Stephen practiced in his own law firm for the last 12 years, specializing in transactional law. He was published in legal journals and most recently spoke before a United States Senate committee regarding Health Care legislation. He enjoyed traveling with his family and was an avid reader. Running became a passion and in 2014 he was able to fulfill a childhood dream of running the Boston Marathon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 30th, 10 a.m. at Tampa Covenant Church, 13320 Lake Magdalene Blvd. In lieu of flowers, a college scholarship fund has been set up for his boys.
