

Ms. Sue Charles Henry Jackson, affectionately known as “Mary” of Orlando was received into heaven’s gates on May 7th, 2020. She transitioned peacefully in Tampa and her final days were spent surrounded by her loved ones – family. The celebration of her life as a memorial tribute will be Friday, May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. and held at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood, 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa 33618, Pastor Anthony C. White officiating.
As a native of Hastings, NE she was born into a loving family of eleven children with loving parents Charles and Grace Henry. She was preceded in death to her parents and five siblings.
Her life work began as a fashion model. She pursued adventure and loved to travel. Her travels took her from Hastings to Detroit, Raleigh, Palm Bay and eventually Orlando. Her latest plans were to travel and live in New York City. She was also highly skilled and trained as a certified nursing assistant and led a successful nursing career. She expressed to her family she loved her work and she demonstrated a heart for her patients.
Her life was exemplary of family and faith. We have fond memories of her light-heartedness, sophisticated -classy presentation and her love for others. There was no other time well spent than when she was with her family. She expressed a genuine love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Sue leaves cherished memories with her siblings, Charlotte Henry, Carlos Henry, Carlotta Henry, Nick Henry and Scott Henry and a host of relatives and friends. She is forever and deeply kept in the hearts of her children and their spouses: Raven (spouse) and Vanessa Lewis (Tampa, FL), James Jackson (Orlando, FL) and Ricardo (spouse) and Tomeka Stewart (Killeen, TX): grandchildren and their spouses – Cedric ( spouse) and Deleisha Whiters ( Melbourne, Fl), Rayna Lewis, R. Elijah Lewis, Julius Lewis, Hannah Lewis and Joseph Lewis ( Tampa, FL), James X. Jackson and Myrah Jackson ( Melbourne, FL) Shantel Jackson ( Georgia), Yasmine Ali ( Poinciana, FL), Patience Stewart ( Killeen , TX) and great grandchildren: Jamir and Jayda Whiters ( Melbourne, FL), Soltice Jackson and Serenity Andino ( Georgia), and Ayce Ramirez- Ali (Poinciana, FL).
