He was born on May 21, 1947, and lived most of his life on Long Island, NY and retired and moved to Lutz, FL in the summer of 2007 to be closer to his son Tom’s family.
He was a quiet gentle soul who was always smiling and loved spending quality time with his family.
He met his wife Patricia at a high school graduation party in 1965 and was then shortly drafted into the U.S. Army and quickly became a Sergeant. He and Patricia married on December 24, 1966, as he was on a short leave from the base. They spent the first two years of their marriage in Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, CO where their first child Tammy was born in 1968. In 1969 they bought their first home in West Babylon, NY.
Tom was an electrician for Difazio Electric for close to 40 years and a member of IBEW Local 25. He was a man of all trades and knew how to fix or build anything.
He loved the NY Islanders and the NY Jets but most of all he loved coaching little league football and baseball with both his sons and grandson Aaron. He loved playing with Brian (son) and Melissa’s (daughter-in-law) young sons Connor and Tristan whether in NY or Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; Tammy (daughter); Tom (son) and his wife Ruth, Brian (son) and his wife Melissa; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Aaron, Samantha, Connor, and Tristan.
He is also survived by his sister Jeanne Bradley, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Keith and Marge Cotter, and nieces, and nephews.
