Toby J Drew

Born in Tampa, Florida, Toby was the son of the late Connie Diaz Harley and William Harley. He was a proud graduate of the University of South Florida. Toby served in the United States Coast Guard Reserves, a commitment that reflected his love for his country.

Toby built a successful career as an investment planner, where he was respected for his integrity, and dedication to helping others plan for their futures. Beyond his professional life, Toby dedicated family man. He was an enthusiastic fan of USF, the Florida Gators, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also had a deep love for all kinds of music and trivia.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Drew; his granddaughter, Anna Elyse; and his parents, Connie Diaz Harley and William Harley.

Toby is survived by his loving daughter, Michelle Drew; his sisters, Sylvia Harley Bass (Larry) and Cynthia Harley Mitchell; and cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins who will continue to honor his memory.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Toby’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Feeding Tampa Bay.

Toby will be remembered for his love of family, and the joy he found in music, sports, and life itself.
