Truyen was born on April 20, 1930, in Ke Mon Village, Vietnam to Con Thanh Nguyen and Que Thi Tran. From a young age he was extremely bright and excelled in school. He was quickly promoted to being a military attaché and was nominated to be sent to the USA to help forge diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the USA in 1962. After enrolling in Georgetown University in 1963, Truyen was able to achieve a Master’s degree of Economics in 2 short years. His determination and drive led him to a career in Information Management Systems where he helped to revolutionize the industry. Over the years he also built a legacy of stock and real estate investments as he lived the American Dream with his family.
Truyen will be lovingly remembered by his 6 children (Son, Quang, Tu, Ha, Minh, My), 10 grandchildren (Kim, Mai, Victor, Lorryn, Nicholas, Nikki, Marisa, Alex, Megan, Rachel), and 3 great grandchildren (Liam, Caleb and Louanna).
