

Victoria Lamboy "Mita", passed away peacefully at the home of her son Victor Garcia on Thursday, February 4, 2021. She was born on January 28, 1923 in Cuomo, Puerto Rico to the late Julia Rodriguez and Juan Lamboy. She became an orphan at a very young age and was raised by her Aunt Estelle. Victoria, the eldest of the three siblings, was unable to continue her education past elementary so she could assist with raising her brother Frank and her sister Paquita. In spite of that, she self taught herself English and excelled in mathematics. She was a skilled seamstress throughout her life, creating quality garments for multiple generations of her family. Victoria was a devout Catholic, her life was lead with daily prayer, and she was a faithful parishioner of St Lawrence Catholic Church while her health permitted. Victoria had 5 children; William Ruiz, Carlos Garcia, Victor Garcia, Evelyn Benitez and Nancy Torres. Mita had always enjoyed simple pleasures. Spending time with family, chatting with family and friends, shopping and sewing. She was preceded in death by 4 children. Mita is survived by; son Victor, 9 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, and many great grandchildren. She loved all her children but unfortunately outlived almost all of them. Her wish was to go peacefully and for the Lord to take her so she can be with her children that passed. She will be forever missed.
