ELY, William D., age 88, died at his home in Zephyrhills, FL on Saturday, March 5, 2016. He was born July 3, 1927 in New Petersburg, OH to his parents, John and Estella (Frost) Ely. William served in the US Navy during WWII and was a member of the Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by six siblings. Survivors include his loving wife, Rose Ely and four nieces, Debbie DeVito, Sandra McMickle, Wanda Deneau and Kim Chaney. The family will receive friends at 3 p.m., with a service beginning at 4 p.m., Thursday, March 10th at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel, 12690 N. 56th St., Temple Terrace. A private entombment will take place at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater.
