Mr. William James

Mr. William James of Tampa passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, July 17, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 12:30pm with Pastor John H. Jerelds officiating at Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL. William James was born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1925. He was a resident of Tampa for many years after being honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He held a distinction of being one of the last remaining World War II veterans alive until his passing last week. Mr. James was preceded in death by his wife, Versey Joann James, Son, Herbert James and numerous other family members. Mr. James leaves to cherish fond memories: his children, Willie Harris, Eric Harris, Corey Carter, Chris James and Dominic James, Monica Harris, Cierra James, Cayliff James, LaSonia James, Chonda James; Grandchildren B.J., Zarrick, Andrew, Shawn, Anthony, Sincere, Antonio T, Antonio S, Cavon, Simuni; Shameka, Sinaya, Tayana, Reginae, Rahiana, Caleah, Jayden, James and Adrian James; numerous Nieces and Nephews; Brothers-in-law Cleveland (Ann) Moss, Jr., Marvin Moss; Sister-in-law Clevetta (Marty) McHenry; very special friends Pastor John and Mrs. Janice Jerelds, members of Reborn Christian Fellowship, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
