A graduate of Hillsborough High School, Lash held a number of jobs - one of which was developing the countries largest photographic transparencies for NASA.
A life long lover of guitars and motorcycles, Lash got his first motorbike at age 14 and accumulated many Harley Davidsons after that.
Lash served honorably in the army in the Transport corp and was especially proud of his service.
Lash was the I.A.T.S.E. local 321 Prop Master at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, now the Straz.
In 2005, he married Tandova Ecenia, and became a partner at Tandova Inc., a scenery, prop and event company. They retired in 2019.
Lash was honored to take the name Serafim when he entered Orthodoxy in 2010 and was a committed Orthodox Christian.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tandova Ecenia, brother Charles Oberst (Karen), brother in law Gregory Ecenia, Niece Toni Marie Amundsen, and the Bailie family.
We thank all of those who have surrounded us with love and prayers in these last months. Lash wished to call out Lisa Ann Conner, Kayla Putnam, Bill Lawler, Marcia Stice Daniel Glazer, Ernie Fulmer, and so many more.
An animal lover, his two dogs, Xenon and Heidi, and cat Satu Mata, will miss him greatly.
The family wishes to thank Very Reverend Father Joseph Ciarciaglino for his spiritual guidance, friendship and love of Lash/Seraphim.
Lash asked that donations be made to St. Philip the Apostle Orthodox Church and/or the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Memory Eternal.
