Bob was my dad. I was his first child before he got married a second time. I didn't hear about his passing until 2 years after it happened. He was a great dad and I will miss him very much.

I have great memories of Uncle Bob! From boating and fishing to flea markets to motorcycles! He always had a smile on his face! He will be deeply missed. All my love to my Florida family, you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Although it's been quite a few years since Bob and I last shared the road on 2 wheels, I have many fond memories of the times we did. Such a wonderful man that will be missed by so many. Much love and prayers to Jan, Michael, and the entire family.

A short story about Bobby Taylor, as told by his Uncle James L. Streetman.
     During the early 1960s Bobby had joined the Air Force and was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, just north of Los Vegas, Nevada. 
     His Dad, Odell, had called me to ask if I could find him a motorcycle. I knew a lot of people on my base, Vandenberg AFB in California.So I put the word out. Within a couple of days a young man came riding up to my house on  a low-mileage 300 series Honda, with duel exhaust and a windshield. It looked like new, ran like new, and was for sale. While the man waited, I called Odell back to say I thought I had found Bobby a motorcycle. Odell asked me if I would mind loaning Bobbie the money. I said I would be glad to, (and of course they did pay me back later on). Then I called Bobby and told him about it. 
      So I took it for a test ride, brought it back and told the man that if the price were right, I would buy it. We negotiated the price and I bought it. 
     I called Bobby back to say I had it. He was thrilled! He make arrangements to arrive on the Greyhound bus the next day to pick it up. So after staying the night with us, he started his 460 mile trip back early the next morning. Bobbie stopped twice and called me during the trip. He said, with a laugh, that he wasn't sure which was going to wear out first, him or the motorcycle!
     He kept it and it provided him with good transportation during the almost four years he was at Nellis. 
     We will miss you Bobbie.
