William Duane Wood III

William Duane Wood III, 86, of Tampa, FL, died Nov. 12, 2011. He was born on July 15, 1925 to Louise and William D. Wood II and a 5th generation in the Hillsborough/Pinellas County. In the Naval Air VPB2 and Fleet Air3Wing 14during WW II, he graduated Stetson Law School class of 1950, Sigma Nu and Phi Delta Phi. Bill (Woody) was a renowned trial attorney who practiced for over 50 years. He was a member of numerous legal associations and a friend to many lawyers and doctors. Mr. Wood is predeceased by two sons, William D. Wood IV and Tommy D. Wood, and is survived by his loving daughter, Angel Wood Hauch(Alan); three grandchildren, Elizabeth Holden(Oliver), Brian Hauch (Katherine), Kristin Melton (Michael), and three great grandchildren. A memorial gathering will take place on Monday November 21, 2011 at Marsicano-B.Marion Reed-Stowers Funeral Home at 6PM with services beginning at 7PM.
