
Clarence Richard Kieschnick also known as Jr passed away peacefully on September 4th 2010 after a lengthy illness. He was born March 26th 1923 in Thorndale TX to Richard Herman Kieschnick and Anna Moerbe Zieschang Kieschnick.
He was baptized and confirmed at St Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale. He also attended school there. In recent years he has been a member of St John Lutheran Church in Thorndale.
He went into the Army/Air Force, January 1942 and served for 33 months. Most of his time was spent in England in aircraft welding. He traveled to many countries while in the service and came back as a Sergeant. He raised hogs, chickens and helped with the crops. In later years he moved to town where he spent most of his time with his vegetable garden and beautiful flowers which were admired by everyone. He received an award from the Thorndale Champion for his beautiful yard. He also enjoyed visiting his many relatives by automobile from California to Georgia and Chicago to all over Texas. He was a sports fan and went to many ball games.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Also his brothers and sisters; Adele Patschke, Alvin Zieschang, Alwine Richter, Amanda Walther, Bertha Lehman, Emma Kieschnick (who died in infancy), Esther Granzin and Oscar Kieschnick.
He had 19 nieces and nephews and these three preceded him in death: Malinda Beckermann, Carl Zieschang and Goldie Roberts.
Survivors are his nieces and nephews: Nelson Granzin, Jeanette Schneider, Betty Wendland, Oscar (Buddy) Kieschnick, Glen Kieschnick, Evelyn Leschber, Allen Gene Patschke, Alvin Zieschang Jr, Roy Zieschang, Edwin Richter, Ray Richter, Merlene Tag, Carol Wuensche, Margie Wendland, Genell Boettcher and Betty Hubble. Also leaving behind were many other friends and relatives.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wed. 9/8/10. At Condra Funeral Home, 503 Talbot St, Taylor TX
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday 9/9/10 at 10:00 AM at St John Lutheran Church, 314 N 6th St, Thorndale TX.
Burial will follow in the Taylor City Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Condra Funeral Home,Taylor, Tx.
