

Frances M. Kruger, age 88, of Hutto passed away Friday December 11, 2015. She was born March 30, 1927 in Copperas Cove, Texas. Frances was the daughter of Leo M. and Martha Frase. She graduated from Copperas Cove High School and attended Business School in Austin, Texas. Frances worked for the Texas Highway Department. On October 5, 1952 she married Richard H. Kruger of Hutto. She and Richard farmed in the Hutto area and raised three children. Frances worked at the Monodale Gin in the Monodale Community and the Hutto Cooperative Gin and Grain in Hutto as a bookkeeper. She was a caretaker for her grandchildren and also her husband Richard as his health declined. Frances was active in her church and grew large vegetable gardens. Her specialty was canning pickles and sauerkraut. She loved taking care of and cooking for her family. Frances left the legacy of living everyday by learning to enjoy activities and making new friends at the S.P.J.S.T. Senior Living Community in Taylor, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Kruger, infant son, and her parents, Leo and Martha Frase. She is survived by her brothers, Leland and Virgil Frase.
Frances was blessed with three children, Brenda Sladek and husband Howard R., Rick Kruger and wife Cheryle, and Timothy Kruger and wife Susan; her grandchildren, Ryan Sladek and wife Courtni, Megan Wheaton and husband Brian, Lindsay Gosnell and husband Michael, Adam Kruger and wife Megan, Tracie Johnson and husband Justin, Madison Kruger, and Abigail Kruger; and her great-grandchildren, Kara Gosnell, Hayden Johnson, Addison Wheaton, Makenzie Kruger, and Baby Girl Kruger.
Pallbearers will be Adam Kruger, Ryan Sladek, Michael Gosnell, Justin Johnson, Carl Krueger, and Chris Noren. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Wheaton and David Dahl.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 16, from 6pm to 8pm at Condra Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 17, at 10 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Taylor. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the S.P.J.S.T. Senior Living Community for the wonderful care they gave Frances, and ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Taylor.
