

Joe Ann was born in Flatonia, TX, on November 11, 1939 to the late Joe Zimmerhanzel and the late Annie Calder. She attended Burnet High School. She married Henry Pustejovsky, Jr. on June 2, 1958; they were married for 37 years until his death. She married Claude Jackson on March 18, 2000, and they remained married until her passing.
Education was important to Joe Ann, and even though she only completed the 11th grade, she later earned her GED in 1976 while also raising 4 children. She continued on to take courses at Temple Junior College towards an associate's degree. She worked as a teacher’s aide in Granger ISD for 18 years, and taught 6th/7th grade at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic School for one year. She enjoyed dancing, drawing, travelling, and reading. She was also actively involved in the community donating to various fundraisers as well as donating numerous books to the library.
Joe Ann is survived by her husband Claude Jackson, her children Steve Pustejovsky, Sr., David Pustejovsky, Kelly Pustejovsky & Kim Trevino, grandchildren Steve Pustejovsky, Jr., Erin, Jamie & Ryan Pustejovsky, and Alysia & Nick Trevino, as well as two great grandchildren.
Joe Ann is preceded in death by her parents Joe Zimmerhanzel and Annie Calder, step-father George Calder, eleven siblings, husband Henry Pustejovsky, Jr., and son Henry Allen “Bubby” Pustejovsky.

A visitation for Joe Ann will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Condra Funeral Home, Taylor, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Condra Funeral Home.
Joe Ann will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Taylor, Texas.
