Paul R Concha Sr.

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our father and grandfather, Apolinar “Paul” R. Concha. He passed away peaceful at the age of 77, surrounded by loved ones on November 21,2022, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his father Jose Tomas, Mother Antonia, daughter Monica, Brothers Timo, Domingo, Jimmy, George, & sisters Tomasita & Pauine.

Our father enjoyed family gatherings, cooking for his children and grandchildren. His love for music began as a teenager playing the guitar in a small band with friends. Paul worked for Wilson Art for several years then decided to pursue a career in upholstery. One of his clients was awarded 1st place in a car show for the style and design of the upholstery. Paul also had the privileged to meet Tom Landry and customizing the upholstery in Mr. Landry's Rolls Royce. Paul enjoyed working on cars and street car racing. He will always be known as a Chevy man.

He served in the US Army as an SP4 (T) from 1965 to 1967. He received marksmanship qualifications for expert in rifle, marksman in pistol, National Defense service and Driver & Mechanic.

He knew in his heart that he was Native American. This was confirmed later in his years and he took pride in the Native American culture.

He is survived by his sister Georgia Concha, children Denise Concha, Camillia Concha, Beatrice & spouse Jesse Estrada, Maria & spouse Esteven Mindieta, Olivia Concha, Luiz & spouse Lydia Concha, Apolinar Concha Jr. Followed by 27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Paul will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Goodnight Funeral Home, Bartlett, TX. A rosary will occur Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 7:00 PM, Bartlett, TX. A funeral mass will occur Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Granger, TX.

Paul will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Granger, TX.
