Randy Eugene Pearson

Randy Eugene Pearson, youngest son of Marian Loney Pearson and Dwight Pearson, was born on January 20, 1953, in Corydon, Iowa and passed away January 25, 2016 at the Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, Texas. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Cambria Baptist Church in Cambria, Iowa.

Randy spent his young life growing up on the family farm, attending Cambria Consolidated School, and graduating from Wayne Community High in May, 1971.

Upon graduation from high school, Randy attended classes at Drake and Iowa State. He pursued a career as a Resident Treatment Worker at Woodward Resource Center in Woodward, Iowa for nearly 30 years. After retiring, he moved to Texas to be close to family and enjoy a warmer climate.

Randy had many hobbies: gardening, cooking, watching basketball, and spending time with his pets. He especially enjoyed surprising people with gifts. Family was always very important to Randy. He attended all the family reunions and would often stop in for little visits with family and friends. Randy was especially close to his cousin, Carla Foster. More like twins than cousins, Randy and Carla, grew up together and remained close even after his move to Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his three brothers: Larry and wife Lynne of Corsicana, Texas; Jerry and wife Nikki of Taylor, Texas; and Alan and wife Lorie of Chariton, Iowa; nieces and nephews: Andrew Pearson, Matthew (Gina) Pearson; John Pearson; Sarah (Clint) Welch; Grant (Crystal) Pearson; Jessica (Joey) Melton; Michelle (Russ) Maile; Joshua (Alyson) Pearson; Eric (Shanna) Pearson; 18 great nieces and nephews; 1 great-great niece; Aunt LaVerne Street and Aunt Joy Loney; Uncle Jerry Fitzgerald; many cousins and a host of relatives and friends.
