

She was born on December 25, 1968, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Arnie and Kay Moen.
Teresa grew up in Rothsay, Minnesota, where she made cherished memories with family and friends. She graduated from Rothsay High School in 1987 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University in 1992.
She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Hamar Lutheran Church in Rothsay, Minnesota.
In 2000, Teresa moved to Texas for a change of pace and new opportunities. Two years later, in 2002, she married Henry (Ricky) Gill. To this union, her greatest pride and joy, their son, Tristan Dylan, was born. Teresa’s love and devotion to her family were the center of her life.
Over the years, Teresa held a variety of jobs that showcased her dedication, adaptability, and strong work ethic. She eventually found her calling as a paralegal in downtown Austin, where she thrived until health challenges in 2018 required her to step away from the career she loved.
Outside of work, Teresa had many hobbies that brought her joy. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, cross stitching, and took great pride in keeping an impeccably clean and welcoming home. She deeply valued her circle of close friends and the laughter-filled nights they shared playing Bunco. Teresa also participated in her church’s volleyball league.
Teresa will be remembered for her intelligence, resilience, kindness, and sense of humor. She touched many lives with her warmth and her ability to connect deeply with others.
She is survived by her husband, Henry (Ricky) Gill of Hutto, TX; her son, Tristan of Hutto, TX; her parents, Arnie and Kay Moen of Rothsay, MN; her siblings: Tammy (Glenn) Lankow of Rothsay, MN, and their children Chelsie (Alex) Duane of St. Paul, MN, Samantha (fiancé Stephen) of Chandler, AZ, Kenzie of St. Louis Park, MN, and Alexis of Chandler, AZ; Travis (Nikki) Moen of Pelican Rapids, MN, and their children Hailey (Ryan) Melchert of Portland, OR, Hunter (Sara) and Layla of Big Lake, MN, and Peyton of Minneapolis, MN; Trevor (Jill) Moen of Barnesville, MN, and their son Mason (fiancée Lily Williams) of Grand Forks, ND; stepchildren: Sean (Aisha) Gill of Texas and their children Layla, Alyssa, and Roman, Alicia (Seth) Noble of Texas and their children Annabelle and Grayson, and Ashley Gill of Texas.
She also leaves behind a large extended family and many wonderful friends who will treasure her memory.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Calmer and Ruby Moen, and Melvin and Gunda Hexum, in-laws Gilbert and OTomie Gill, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her former fiancé, Danny Huus.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Service will take place at New Life Lutheran Church in Rothsay, Minnesota, with visitation one hour prior to the service. A time for food and fellowship will follow the service.
